We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. However, it is important to clarify several things regarding the realities of coordinating travel for a large group aboard a cruise ship. From the very beginning, we strongly encouraged all guests to arrive a day early specifically because embarkation day is unpredictable and ultimately controlled by the cruise line — not by us. When thousands of passengers are boarding simultaneously, the ship does not provide immediate accommodations, assigned gathering locations, or flexible scheduling for individual groups. We, like every other large group onboard, are required to operate within the cruise line’s regulations, timelines, and logistical limitations. Our official welcome event took place the evening before embarkation, where guests had the opportunity to dance, laugh, eat, and spend quality time with Funky Dineva in a relaxed setting. For those who missed that event, the ship arranged dinner accommodations on embarkation day so everyone could still participate in the experience in some capacity. Regarding the impromptu cocktail hours, those gatherings were created in direct response to the cruise line’s miscommunication with their corporate office surrounding our karaoke event. Due to the number of groups onboard — and particularly the size of our group — the ship was unable to provide us with a designated cocktail hour as originally anticipated. Rather than allow guests to miss out entirely, we made the best of the situation and created opportunities for our group to still gather and enjoy themselves. Traveling with large groups requires flexibility, patience, and an understanding that adjustments sometimes have to be made in real time. While many of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience and understood the nature of group travel, it appears this style of travel may simply not be the best fit for you. Moving forward, you may find that traveling independently or with another company better aligns with your expectations and preferred travel style. We wish you the best in your future travels.
